Background

In 1986, the establishment of a land readjustment association was approved and a full-scale readjustment project was started. The Sato Kogyo Group was selected as the winner of the competition for the project proposal based on the introduction of private sector vitality in District A, one of the reserved areas. The project was produced comprehensively over a six-year period.

Our duties

Kikuchi, who was working for Kume Sekkei at the time of the project proposal competition, was the project manager for the project proposal.

After Kikuchi joined our company, Dear Life, the project owner, welcomed him as an in-house technical advisor and he was in charge of the overall project management from the start to the completion of the project.

Design concept

1. Open public space
Commercial clusters are located on both sides of a 12.0m wide greenway, which is the basic axis of the project.

2. Circumferential flow planning
By connecting the bridge and open deck above the public space in a three-dimensional manner, we have realized a highly circulatory flow planning. In addition, we have taken advantage of the characteristics of open malls, such as plazas, streets, green spots, and flowing water, to create a varied and lively space. Access by escalators and elevators has been introduced in consideration of the physically challenged.
