Background

In recognition of Japan's cooperation in the "Agricultural Development Center Plan" implemented from 1975 to 1986 and the "Kilimanjaro Region Agricultural Development Plan" implemented from 1986 to 1993, and with the aim of spreading the results of these projects throughout Tanzania, a technical cooperation project for the "Agricultural Technician Training Center Plan" was planned in September 1992 and implemented from 1994. In September 1992, a technical cooperation project for the "Agricultural Technician Training Center Project" was planned and implemented from 1994. In this project, some of the facilities of the Kilimanjaro Agricultural Development Center, which was built in 1979 with grant aid, were transferred to the Kilimanjaro Agricultural Technician Training Center for continued use. However, since the facility was 14 years old and was expected to be a hindrance to the project activities, it was necessary to repair it.
