Projects

The Project for the Reconstruction and Expansion of Selected Community Day Secondary Schools in Malawi (Phase Ⅲ)

Background

Community Day Secondary Schools (CDSS), which account for more than 60% of all public secondary schools in Malawi, were established by renovating adult education facilities built by communities due to the rapid increase in the number of students, and the lack of basic facilities. The situation was making it difficult to provide a minimum level of secondary education. In addition, many community secondary schools (CSS) is also lack of facilities and equipment, which was a major impediment to improve secondary education in Malawi. Therefore, grant aid was requested for 12 sites of secondary education facilities in five educational districts across the country, with the aim of improving basic facilities and equipment in local basic schools.
