Background
This is a relocation project for a dental hygienist college adjacent to the West Tokyo Dental Clinic in Hamura City, Tokyo. The relocation of the school was planned due to the aging of the facilities and the transition from a two-year program to a three-year program. We participated in the project from the planning stage, as the new site was located within the premises of Showa Aircraft Industry Co.
Design Concept
Because the students are exclusively female, we aimed to create a bright facility surrounded by greenery and light, with a partial sense of cuteness and softness, and with consideration for the school principal's concern for nature. We also planned a facility that is easy for women to use.
